About

Soap bubble art is a captivating and innovative art form where a specially formulated bubble mixture—typically a blend of soap, water, and pigments—is used to create stunning patterns on canvas. As the bubbles burst, they leave behind intricate, abstract designs that are both organic and unpredictable. Each piece is unique, with the interaction of the bubbles and colors producing mesmerizing effects ranging from delicate lace to bold splashes of color.

This art form blends the playful act of bubble-blowing with the sophistication of fine art. Artists can manipulate the bubbles with tools like straws, wands, or air pumps to control the size and motion, resulting in a variety of artistic outcomes. The dynamic and fluid patterns created through this technique offer an intriguing visual experience.

As one German philologist once observed, "Soap bubbles are a special expression of joy for both young and old." Inspired by this sentiment, the idea of preserving these fleeting moments took shape. After years of experimentation, the artist successfully combined the age-old phenomenon of bubble formation with its permanent representation on canvas.

The first pieces were developed in 2017, leading to successful exhibitions in venues across Germany, including Schloss Diedersdorf, Hamburg, and Berlin. This new style of art continues to captivate audiences, celebrating the beauty of bubbles in a way that is both joyful and lasting. As a former educator, it is important to me to pass on my knowledge to the younger generation. That's why I enjoy collaborating with children's institutions and schools. I welcome anyone who wishes to join me in exploring the dreamlike world of soap bubble art. Those interested are warmly invited to visit my gallery at Käthe-Kollwitz-Straße 11 in Ludwigsfelde.
